Motion sickness is a common problem in people traveling by car, train, airplanes, and especially boats. Anyone can get it, but it is more common in children, pregnant women, and people taking certain medicines. Motion sickness can start suddenly, with a queasy feeling and cold sweats. It can then lead to dizziness and nausea and vomiting.

Oct 09,  · For a few weeks, my tinnitus and my hearing have been fluctuating. I have had many health problems (rhinitis, sore throat, TMJ and ear pain, respiratory problems, sinusitis, sleeping problems, anxiety) over the last few weeks. According to my doctor, it isn't a noise exposure spike, but it is a sickness spike. But I don't know.

Jul 08,  · However, the tinnitus cause that is frequently overlooked by the medical professionals is how a muscle impacts the bones of the ear. There is a muscle called sternocleidomastoid (SCM for short) that causes not only tinnitus, dizziness, ears ringing, and nausea, but also neck pain, stiffness when trying to turn your head in the opposite.

Sep 10,  · I have had a bad case of tinnitus and chest pain for the last 6 years. I've tried everything! I've been to 2 dozen different doctors for it. I've actually spent over a quarter million at doctors and hospitals trying to get some kind and any kind of relief. I could never get any relief! Recently I started getting a little dizzy and stumbled upon motion sickness pills.

May 22,  · About 40 percent of people with tinnitus hear tinnitus noise through 80 percent of their day. And for a smaller group of people—about 1 in 5, tinnitus is disruptive enough to significantly interfere with daily functioning, becoming disabling or nearly disabling. Tinnitus becomes more common with age, in part because of age-related hearing loss.

Jul 08,  · Smoking can make tinnitus worse in two ways. It harms blood flow to the sensitive nerve cells that control your hearing. It also acts as a stimulant in your body.

A Herx can involve new symptoms or a worsening of old ones. I can fully relate the the "whack a mole" aspect of treatment, in which knocking one symptom down just causes another to pop up in a random place. I recall from other posts that you're starting some new meds so it seems reasonable to me that the combination is knocking you around some.

In the past year, I've developed some I guess mild tinnitus (it seems like more than mild, but I don't think it really is). After having my hearing checked, I found that my hearing is excellent across the spectrum, and I show no evidence of hearing loss. Throughout my life, I've been very susceptible to dizziness and motion sickness.
