Panic is the definitive MxPx CD. The album kicks off at full speed with the fist pumping "The Darkest Places". Although the title sounds rather ominous the song is actually about being light and salt to the world. "Late Again" is an infectious country/punk ditty reminiscent of Flogging Molly or Social Distortion that will have you out of /5(63).

Panic returns MxPx to the indie label ranks after a six-year sojourn at A&M. It sounds like it was the usual major-label shenanigans that drove them, fed up and tired, to L.A. imprint Side One Dummy. But regardless of what went down behind the boardroom doors, all fans really need to know is that Panic is MxPx's best album in years. The trio was lost in formula on 's Before Everything.

REVIEW: MXPX - PANIC RELEASE DATE: JUNE 7, I should not be reviewing this album - at least not to a mixed crowd. Since sophomore year of high school I have been investing in all MxPx has to offer, and reviewing one of their albums is difficult unless handing copies to my friends and other MxPx fans.
